Apricot Poodle

Apricot Poodle investigates mimicry as a mechanism of social belonging through a series of families from different socioeconomic backgrounds who all choose the same breed and color of pet.

The apricot poodle is presented as a symbol of distinction, and depending on what it means to each family —whether a reflection of their lifestyle or a significant financial effort— it changes in appearance and care as different neighborhoods of the city are documented. The project invites reflection on the complexities of social play, showing how, even under an appearance of similarity, hierarchies and divisions persist, shaping collective identity.
