"Developed during the three years the authors lived in Mexico City, the book emerges as a visual diary and a poetic reflection on displacement, the migratory process, the sense of belonging, and observation. Born during long walks through the city, the book portrays the process of discovering and inhabiting a new environment through photography. Distrito Federal is the result of the coexistence of curiosity and adaptation, which transforms an unfamiliar urban landscape into an intimate space. The city becomes both subject and metaphor: a mirror of the photographers' own process of transformation."
