NORTE is the third part of David Hornillos' photographic trilogy on Madrid's railway stations, following Mediodía (Atocha) and Ustedes, los vivos (Chamartín).
In this installment, focusing on Príncipe Pío station (formerly Estación del Norte), the photographer maintains his approach of working within a confined space and repeating certain visual elements. With a brutalist aesthetic and an emphasis on verticality—represented by crutches, metal structures, and asphalt—the work reflects on balance and survival.
